Tommy Jarvis DOES Say Die – Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) – CBP009

Tommy Jarvis (Corey Feldman) – Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter features one of the most brutal portrayals of Jason Voorhees in Mr. Ted White. He pretty much defined how the character would be played for the rest of the series. This film also marks the start of what could be considered the “Tommy Jarvis Trilogy”.

Discussion Points

  • Oz joins the show
  • The loss of Betsy Palmer and Christopher Lee
  • The continuity between Part III and The Final Chapter
  • The asshole Axle
  • Did Teddy invent the laptop, or just the invisible dead fuck laptop?
  • Corey Feldman

Listener Mail

“Curious as to why at the end they lead you to think Tommy is going to be the next killer, but in the New Beginning, he is the hero…again”

“Why did they bother with a character like Rob? His back story and attitude lead you to believe that he'll actually put up a decent fight against Jason, and then he dies like a total pussy.”

“Why was Paul such a cock block to Teddy especially when he had his own girlfriend who he clearly pissed off as well…”

“Any word ever on Tommys dad…was he in movies? How and where did Tommy learn to and get the things needed to create those masks especially living in the middle of nowhere in the woods…obviously based on Tom savini…but just movie based question.”

“So who exactly broke robs shot gun…he goes from being in his tent to hearing Paul scream after being killed in the lake …he takes a lil walk nowhere by the lake and yet Jason got from point a to b and not seen at all???”

“I need to know once and for all!!!!!! Was Gordon thrown through the window though I don't see how that's possible since jason was in the basement. Or did he just commit suicide on purpose?”

“Did Doug and Paulie have a subtle gay relationship?? Doug drops the soap and asks Paulie to come in here ole pal.”

“Wow. You have really great language with a 13-year-old in the room. GREAT parenting. And, no, the word “campy” didn't originate because of Sean Cunningham and F13. The word dates back over 100 years ago.”
